Mae Bess Newell, 80 - Orma

Mae Bess Newell, 80, of Orma, West Virginia, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her home. She was born April 16, 1931, a daughter of the late Emery and Blanche Goodrich Bailey. She is survived by her husband, Harry Newell; daughters, Marlene McCumbers and Denzil of Nicut WV and Jennifer Hall and Larry of Arnoldsburg WV; sisters, Pauline Brunfield and Oddie of Elizabeth WV, Glennis Crites of Windham OH, and Shelly Valentine of Little Hocking OH; brothers, Arden Bailey and Geraldine of Elizabeth WV, Arnett Bailey of Warren OH, and Arlan Bailey and Irene of Crowder OK. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tonya Adolf and Courtney of PA, Jennings McCumbers and Jenny of Nicut WV and Jonathan Hall of Arnoldsburg, WV; and great grandchildren, Chase and Mason Adolf and Braden McCumbers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Jr. and her first husband, Jennings Paul Helmick. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Gene Miller and Charles Brady will officiate. Interment will be in Orma UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
