CALHOUN MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED FORCIBLE SEX

(06/30/2011)
A 43-year-old Calhoun man has been charged by the WV State Police with first degree sexual abuse and soliciting prostitution, after he picked up a 20-year-old woman on Rowels Run Road and drove her to a remote location.

Police say Danny Lockhart, whose address is Creston, forced the female to perform a sexual act after he offered her money, and she declined.

The criminal complaint says after she said no, Lockhart "came to the passenger side of the vehicle ... and opened the door," after which he demanded a sexual act.

The complaint says after she continued to say no, Lockhart continued to force her.

Following the completion of a sex act, the complaint says Lockhart drove the victim back to the location where he picked her up.

Trooper J. E. Kincaid, the investigating officer, obtained a search warrant to obtain DNA evidence related to the crime, with court records indicating the forensics could connect him to the alleged crime.

Lockhart has been released on bond.
