WIRT'S COURTHOUSE CENTENNIAL FREE CONCERTS START TODAY - Music By David Wells On Courthouse Lawn

In continuing the year-long celebration of the Wirt County Courthouse's 100th anniversary, the Wirt County Commission and the Daughters of American Pioneers are pleased to announce the upcoming Centennial Concert series.

The series includes four free concerts to be held throughout the summer that showcases an eclectic mix of local and regional talent.

The series kicks today at 7:30 p.m. with the smooth jazz sounds of David Wells of Vienna, WV. The concert is being sponsored by Calhoun Banks of Elizabeth.

Additional concerts are planned for Friday, July 22 and Friday, August 19.

The series will conclude with a gospel performance on Sunday afternoon, September 18.

All concerts will be held on the courthouse lawn and the public is encouraged to bring their own chairs. The concert will be moved to the high school auditorium in the event of inclement weather.
