Stephen Garrett Cottrell, 46 - Belpre, Ohio

Stephen Garrett Cottrell, 46 of Belpre, Ohio went to be with his daughter Simmone on June 19, 2011.

He was the son of Stanley and Lois Cottrell of Elizabeth, WV.

He was a 1982 graduate of Wirt County High School, and an employee at Dupont, of Washington WV. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and dirt bikes. He was a member of the Mid Ohio Valley Wide Trackers, and was an avid Rader, New York Yankee and Mountaineer Fan.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Lynn Cottrell; 3 children, Julia Cottrell of Belpre Ohio, Cortney and Stevie Cottrell of Parkersburg WV; 2 stepchildren, Ashley Garner and Josh Runnion of Belpre Ohio; sister, Vicki (Don) Cheuvront of Elizabeth; brother, Mark (Melody) Cottrell of Elizabeth; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and J.D. Cheuvront of Elizabeth; and Cameron and Zack Cottrell of Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Simmone Cottrell; paternal grandparents, Woody and Ocie Cottrell; and maternal grandparents, Delbert and Chloe Kerns.

Services will be Thursday June 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with Pastor William Cottrell and Pastor Jerry Cottrell officiating. Interment will be at Mason Cemetery in Ritchie County

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
