Monday was just a beautiful day it reminded me of October.

Last week's high winds and vertical rain took the top out of another pine tree here in the backyard. Twenty feet of it is in the yard.

The chestnut tree uprooted in the lower yard. It grew beside the pines. It was just starting to bloom. These past two storms are like nothing I've ever seen around. The last one was almost scary. I let Bear in and he went in my room and laid down under my chair.

Bub Metheney has a new hand, Briar Metheney, he's 10 and attends school in Arnoldsburg. He can run a hay wrapper as well as anyone. Bub says he has the mind of a twenty year old and he takes it after his grandfather, Arley.

Briar's brother Austin is working cutting right-of-way and is going to be Buds foreman. He is the boss. Congratulations boys.

June 11 was my oldest daughters birthday and I would like to wish her a happy birthday.

Wednesday, June 15 is the Full Strawberry Moon. Time to pick strawberries. This moon is also known as the Rose Moon and the Hot Moon.

Blaine King and Jake Settles visited with me on Monday we had coffee. Jake brought me two dozen fresh eggs. A dozen banty eggs and a dozen regular and the banty eggs are light blue. I love "real" eggs.

I'm happy to know that Jessie Starcher is home and doing good since her hip injury and time in the hospital. Jessie is 96 and has a great looking garden as she always has.

Everyone have a wonderful week!
