Richard E. Knotts Sr., 81, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, died Friday, May 20, 2011, in Heritage Valley Beaver, PA. Born July 17, 1929, in Beaver Falls he was the son of the late Bryan and Eda Stump Knotts. Richard was a former car salesman, a member of the St. Rose of Lima Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as the Sierra Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene C. Kraska Knotts, in 2008; three brothers, Dean, Bill and Bob Knotts, and a sister, Elizabeth Rhodes. He is survived by a son, Richard E. Knotts of Bend OR; a daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Joseph Postich of Beaver Falls; a grandchild, Tracy Bruining and her husband, Bill of Fuquay-Varina, NC; two great grandchildren, Spencer and Levi Bruining, and a dear friend, Mary Ann Bender of Beaver Falls, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several relatives in West Virginia . Funeral services were held in Pennsylvania with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chippewa Township PA.
