CLAY MURDER CASE WILL GO TO GRAND JURY - Hanshaw Accused Of Killing Man Over Stolen ATV

(06/03/2011)
A Clay County man accused of murder will come before a grand jury.

The Clay magistrate heard evidence against Bobby Hanshaw yesterday. State Police say Hanshaw shot and killed Guy Dwier May 11 near the community of Procious.

Police say Dwier was shot at close range with a .30-30 rifle and killed instantly.

Officers are saying that Hanshaw was mad at Dwier for allegedly stealing his ATV in 2010, with the problem escalating from previous disputes.

Hanshaw is charged with second-degree murder and wanton endangerment with a firearm. He remains in jail without bail.

The Clay County grand jury is scheduled for July 12.
