| The mystery around an anonymous mailing of a political slate for the Roane County
Democratic Executive Committee has been solved. Spencer Mayor Terry Williams told
the Times Record/Roane County Reporter, he was responsible.
A candidate for the executive committee, Spencer resident Don Yoak, has filed a
formal complaint regarding the postcard mailing, stating "It is against the law...I want
these people punished."
The postcard did not contain legal ownership, stating who was responsible for the
material. The card listed preferred candidates for each voting district.
In the political battle, a charge has also been lodged against Yoak, who did not
indicate he was responsible for his own political printing.
