DYNAMITE SPILL CAUSES EMERGENCY RESPONSE - Rt. 5 West Of Grantsville Closed Two Hours

Rt. 5 was closed at Cabot Station following dynamite spill

A truck carrying dynamite reportedly lost its load at 8:08 a.m. on Nighcut Hill causing emergency services to respond to the scene.

The truck was reportedly delivering dynamite to Annamoriah, where a new bridge is being constructed across the Little Kanawha.

The dynamite was removed from the area.

The Grantsville VFD and the Calhoun Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.

Rt. 5 West of Grantsville between Cabot Station and Big Bend was closed for about two hours.
