GILMER CRASH VICTIM DISCOVERED OVER THE HILL - Serious Injuries Described

Police have yet to identify the name of a man who received serious injuries in a crash that happened overnight, the victim was discovered Tuesday morning. The Gilmer County VFD had to cut the man out of the vehicle. The vehicle was discovered at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with authorities saying he crashed late Monday night or early Tuesday. The accident happened on Route 47, the vehicle went over an embankment at least 25 feet, and struck a tree. The victim was life-flighted to a hospital, with serious injuries.
