FUNERAL SERVICES SET FOR TWENTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD ROANE MAN

(05/24/2011)
Funeral services have been set for a Roane County man who was killed in a two-truck collision Saturday.

Twenty-two-year-old Brandon McGlothlin of Looneyville was a passenger in a truck driven by Anthony R. Harold, 21, of Newton, Roane County. The accident happened on State Rt. 2.

William Boley of Friendly died from injuries suffered in the other vehicle.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.

Police said Boley was heading north on the highway when the collision occurred with Harold's truck, which was heading south.

The Sheriff's Department said Harold stated he looked at a building off to the side of the road and when he looked back he noticed he was drifting into the north-bound lane.

Harold said his steering failed to work and he was not able to go back to the south-bound lane.

Harold and a juvenile passenger in the Boley vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.
