Dale Glen King, 74 - Grantsville

Dale Glen King, 74, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville, after an extended illness.

He was born October 16, 1936, at Frozen WV a son of the late Dwight and Jessie Hunt King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ivan, Bob, Harp and Jay Bill King; two sisters, Greta Cottrell and Ivy Sampson.

Dale was a retired auto mechanic and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Kay of Grantsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosie and Warner Settle of Orma and Annie and Ronnie Smith of Grantsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Paula King of Millstone, Dale and Lisa King, Jr. of Mt. Zion, Jason King and his girlfriend, Angie of Grantsville, and Benny and Margie King also of Grantsville; two brothers, Doc King of Orma and Elmer "Westfall" King of Big Bend; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arnoldsburg Community Park with the Rev. David Weaver officiating.

Burial, with military honors, will be in the Cottrell Cemetery, Frozen Run. Friends may call at the park one hour before the service.
