| Florence May Shiflet age 76 of North Lewis St., Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 10:20 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston following an unexpected illness.
She was born January 14, 1935 in Elyria, Ohio a daughter of the late Charles and Ines Bungard Freed.
Flo was a former CNA at Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center (formerly Sunbridge) and a Baptist by faith.
Surviving is one daughter Deanna Shiflet of Glenville; five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Shannon Donaldson and husband Ben and children Benjamin Jr and Hunter of Glenville; Brent Waddell and children Alexus and Brent III of Spencer WV; Gregory Waddell and son Gregory Jr. of Glenville and Destiny Ricotta and Jessica McAuliffe both of Glenville; several sisters and brothers survive.
In addition to her parents, Flo was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Dale "Shifty" Shiflet November of 1985.
A memorial gathering was observed from 2-4 Saturday May 14, 2011 at the Glenville 1st Baptist Church where Pastor Mark Robinson officiated.
