BROOKSVILLE BAPTIST COLLECTING ITEMS FOR ALABAMA DISASTER VICTIMS

(05/16/2011)

Residents in Pratt City, Alabama, survey the damage of
their neighborhood after it was hit by a deadly tornado

The Brooksville Baptist Church is collecting items to send to disaster victims in Alabama after a deadly outbreak of tornadoes hit the south last month.

Victims are currently requesting sports drinks, blankets, cleaning wipes, baby items that include food, formula, diapers and wipes; canned food with easy open lids; large plastic bins with lids (used as residents go through the remains of their homes); and personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, Chapstick, sun screen, etc.

Needs will change again as the church members go forward with this project, but flexibility is a key word in disaster relief efforts.

If you would like to donate some of these items, please deliver them to Brooksville Baptist Church. You may also contact Shaina Cain at 304-494-2198 or bridgeless_troll@hotmail.com for further details.
