MARIJUANA DISCOVERED OUTSIDE ARNOLDSBURG SCHOOL

(05/07/2011)
Police responded to a call from Arnoldsburg Elementary School Friday following the discovery of an illegal drug on the property.

Chief Deputy Carl Ballengee said a school employee found a bag of marijuana on the school's parking lot near the building.

Sources at the scene reported that a small bag of marijuana was found by an employee near the entrance to the school, likely dropped accidentally by a person who was reportedly coming to the school to pick-up a student.

The incident was reportedly caught by a surveillance camera, with school officials reviewing the video.

Calhoun school officials did not respond Friday to a request for information regarding the incident.
