Anna Louise Hyde Buck, 50 - Parkersburg

Anna Louise Hyde Buck, 50, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at her home following a long battle with cancer.

She was born October 22, 1960 in Mocksville, North Carolina, daughter of the late Walter Jackson Hyde and Effa Ann Hyde who resides on Rock Run, near West Union WV.

Anna is survived by her husband, William Craig Buck and her children, Jacqueline Ann Hyde of West Union, Harley Leeanne Homer of Parkersburg, and Joshua Aaron Homer of Salem; a step-son, Jeffrey Thomas Buck of Parkersburg; brothers, Eddy Jackson Hyde and wife Rebecca Ann of Salem (Big Battle) and Walter Frederick Hyde and wife Diane of Pulaski TN; two grandchildren, Isabel Vazquez and Deshawn Hyde and several nieces and nephews.

She was educated at Doddridge County High School and earned her degree from Martin Methodist College in Pulaski. Anna worked as a teamster for HC Price in Houston TX and was a member of the Teamster's Union. She loved to sing and play the guitar and other musical instruments, liked to draw, loved crafting and quilting. She was Baptist by faith.

A time of remembrance will be held at Greathouse Funeral Home in Salem WV on Tuesday, May 3 from 2-8 p.m. when family and friends will gather. Cremation will follow.
