GILMER WOMEN PLEAD GUILTY TO USING ELECTRIC SHOCK ON CHILDREN

Two Gilmer County women accused of shocking their kids as a form of discipline pleaded guilty in court yesterday.

Yarica Jackson, and Mary Ann Starcher both entered guilty pleas to five counts of child abuse resulting in injury, and one count of conspiracy.

Authorities say the two women used a homemade electrical shocking device to punish four kids, ages four to twelve years old.

WV-DHHR removed the children at the time of the initial arrest.
