A rainy Easter weekend gave pause to the 17th Annual Melissa Oshoway Memorial Easter Egg Hunt, with another record crowd of area children and youth gathering eggs with anticipation of winning one of a dozen bikes and lots of other prizes.
"We would like to thank all the volunteers that helped us hide eggs, give out prizes and worked in the concession stand," said John and Sue Oshoway. "We would like to also thank Richard and Anita Parsons, Emily Gainer, Melanie Erlewine Henderson (in memory of her dad, Richard Erlewine), Nancy Sams, and Sharon Gherke for their donations to help with the event. Also, Pettyville Walmart for their $100 (not $1,000 as earlier reported) donation and $10.00 off each bicycle, and Karen Boatright. Thanks also to the gentleman that gave us a donation at the Easter Egg
Hunt."
