Doris Irene Jones, 79 - Spencer

Doris Irene Jones, 79, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

She was born October 31, 1931, in North Tonawanda NY, a daughter of the late Elmer Albert and Irene Christine Milliman Brodfuehrer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Burngasser; three brothers, Richard, Raymond and James Brodfuehrer.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Roane General Hospital Auxiliary and the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer.

Survivors include one son, Donald Jones; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and James Lyons and Teresa Richardson, all of Spencer; two sisters, Roselle Brodfuehrer and Ruth DiVirgilio; one brother, Charles Brodfuehrer; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A service will be held Monday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer, with Rev. Fr. Tom Chacko as celebrant.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
