STATE PARKS AND CAMPGROUNDS ARE CHEAPER OPTIONS FOR WV FAMILIES - Gasoline Almost Hitting $4 Gallon This Week

With gasoline prices almost reaching $4 a gallon this week in Calhoun, families who have considered a motorized vacation might want to consider WV's state parks and campgrounds. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is opening its campgrounds in the next few weeks. One of three campgrounds at Burnsville Lake and two more at Sutton Lake will open on April 22. Another at Summersville Lake opens on May 1. Others at East Lynn Lake, R.D. Bailey Lake and Burnsville Lake have late May opening dates.
