JACKSON MAN DIES ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE THROUGH HIGH WATER

It's a frequent sight when high water happens, drivers try their luck driving through the water. A Jackson County man was not lucky when he attempted to drive through flood waters along Coopers Fork Rd. near Sandyville. He and his vehicle got swept away, and his body was later recovered by the Silverton VFD and rescue workers. Neighbors attempted to rescue the man, but his vehicle broke away and lodged against a bridge while submerging.
