Maxine V. Kelley, 82 - Glenville

Maxine V. Kelley, age 82 went to be with her Lord at 2:07 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in Hopemont Hospital, Terra Alta, WV following a long illness.

She was born July 22, 1928 in Gilmer County a daughter of the late Worthy and Bertha Brady Runyon.

She was proud to be a longtime member of Glenville Community Church. She was a former employee of Kinney Shoe Corporation. She was a member of Rebekah Assembly of West Virginia Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Glenville Rebekah Lodge #104, member of Gilmer County Senior Citizens where she received several certificate of appreciation awards for volunteer duties performed for the Gilmer County Senior Citizens. Her two favorite things were sewing and singing in the choir.

Surviving is one daughter, Irene "Susie" Fox and husband Franklin and two grandsons, Justin and Benjamin all of Glenville; one great granddaughter, Alexis Hope Fox of NC; two brothers and two sisters, Denzil Runyon of Lockney WV, Darrell Runyon of Good Hope WV, Freda Swick of Ashtaberla OH and Bernice Keesucker of Jane Lew WV; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins.

In addition to her perants Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence G. Kelley; one daughter, Barbara Ann Kelley; sisters, Eloise Ercie, Geraldine Nicholson, Pauline Golden, Bonnie Dotson and Linda Cunningham.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. in Glenville WV with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Mortuary.
