Grace Stump, 88 - Sand Ridge

Grace Stump, 88, of Sand Ridge, West Virginia, passed away April 7, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Calhoun County, September 18, 1922, a daughter of the late McClellan and Verna Elliott Haught. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Grantsville WV. She was a 1940 graduate of Calhoun County High School. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn (Harold) Fulks of Millstone WV and Emily Gainer of Grantsville; one son, Charles (Patti) Stump of Sand Ridge; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Warder E. Stump, Jr.; a son, Richard Stump; a grandson, Todd Stump; a brother, Elliott Haught; and a sister, Lena King. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10 at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Greg Swisher will officiate. Interment will be in the Sand Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-noon Sunday until the time of services.
