BOARD COULD HEAR MONDAY ABOUT $5.5 MIL GRANT FOR ARBOLDSBURG SCHOOL - Needed, A Few Good Coaches

A Calhoun Board of Education meeting is set for Monday evening, with Calhoun Superintendent of Schools Roger Propst likely announcing whether or not the WV School Building Authority has granted $5.5 million towards building a new Arnoldsburg Elementary School.

Propst is expected to issue a report on the site chosen for the new school, which is reportedly a short distance from the current school, but out of the flood plain.

County voters approved a $2.8 million bond for the project.

The board will be discussing graduation requirements.

The board will be posting a large number of openings for coaching positions in the school system:

Assistant Varsity Football Coach, Assistant Varsity Cross Country/Track Coach, Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach, Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.

Assistant Varsity Softball Coach, Assistant Varsity Softball Coach, Head Varsity Baseball Coach, Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach, Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach, Varsity Cheerleading Coach, Assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach.

Head Middle School Football Coach, Assistant Middle School Football Coach, Assistant Middle School Football Coach, Head Middle School Volleyball Coach, Assistant Middle School Volleyball Coach, Head Middle School Boys Basketball Coach, Assistant Middle School Boys Basketball Coach, Head Middle School Girls Basketball Coach, Assistant Middle School Girls Basketball Coach.
