Richard Allen Gauthier, 55 - Powleys Creek

Richard Allen Gauthier, 55 of Powleys Creek, West Virginia, died Sunday March 27, 2011 at his home after a short illness. Born December 6, 1955 in Calhoun County, WV, he was the son of the late Eloise Norman Church, and grandson of the late Orland and Pearl Norman. Richard was a welding inspector and was a U.S. Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne. He enjoyed hunting and anything involving his tractor. He was preceded in death by his mother, and a son, Joshua Nathaniel. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Linda Knott; a daughter, Pearl Knott; one sister, Judy Metz and husband Doug of Calhoun County; nephews, Cory and Eric and wife Shelly; great niece, Bella Metz; one brother, Jeff Church and wife Sandee; nieces Nikki Kirk, Dani and Savannah Church and Whitley Cottrell; and great nephew, Charter Jarvis. At his request the body has been cremated and there will be no services.
