Connie Sue Alkire, 65 - Harrisville

Connie Sue Alkire, age 65, of Harrisville, West Virginia, died Friday, March 25, 2011, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born December 14, 1945, a daughter of the late James Stanley and Ruby Shuman Reaser.

Connie was a homemaker and worked as an E.M.T. for the Harrisville Emergency Squad for 15 years and was a member of the Harrison Street United Methodist Church, Harrisville, WV.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Ralph "Tiny" Alkire; three sons, Mike Alkire, Bub Alkire and Steve Alkire all of Harrisville, WV; two daughters, Patty Riddle(Curtis Grogg), Glenville, WV and Donna Meadows(Mark), Tanner, WV; grandchildren, Megan Meadows, Derek Ratliff, Erron Ingram, Dayton Grogg and Emilee Nichols; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Nichols and Wattson Nichols; brothers, Donnie Reaser(Donna), Lost Creek, WV and Jim Reaser(Lou), Glen Dale, WV; sister, Loretta Hopkins(Rod), Parkersburg, WV and many nieces and nephews. Connie also was a mother to any child that came to her house.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Stanley Alkire.

Funeral Services were held Monday, March 28 at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with the Rev. Carl DeVaughn officiating. Interment followed in the Fairmont Ridge Cemetery, near Ellenboro, WV.
