FRN THRIFT SHOP HAD "GRAND" OPENING

(03/21/2011)

By Jean Simers

The grand opening of the Thrift Shop, sponsored by the Family Resource Network was held Saturday. Patrons were lined up at the door before the 9 a.m. opening.

The shop, located in the basement of the Eureka Lodge building on the corner of Main and Court Streets in Grantsville, will be open each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 2:00 and the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 to 2:00.

The FRN would like to thank everyone who has donated items for the shop and the Minnora Mission for all their assistance in getting the Thrift Shop up and running. Also, Harley Gail Harris has been an invaluable volunteer. He was there to help take up the carpet, clean out the space and to help carry and set up items to get the shop open.

Profits from the Thrift Shop will be utilized first to pay expenses of the shop and then, hopefully, to provide grant monies to county organizations for community projects.

Anyone wanting to volunteer to work or donate items can contact the FRN office at (304) 354-7177.
