Carl Bernard Jarvis, 97 - Minnora

Carl Bernard Jarvis, 97, of Minnora West Virginia, died Monday, March 14th at the VA Hospital in Clarksburg following a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his his parents, Calvin Spencer Jarvis and Ora Alice Parsons Jarvis; his wife of 50 years, Margaret P. Metheney Jarvis; twin sons who died at birth; 3 brothers, Cecil, Bruce and Curt Jarvis; 4 sisters, Dessie Jett, Maysel Stalnaker, Olive Grace (Happy) Deweese and Geneva Badgett. Also, Carl Bernard Siers.

He is survived by one son of his marriage, Randy L. Jarvis and wife Carolyn of Parkersburg WV; two daughters, Anita West and husband Ben of Mt. Zion WV, Beverly Harold and husband Randy of Chloe WV; two grandsons, Gregory Allen Eagle and wife Shannon of Kentuck WV, Jayson Jarvis and wife Cheryl of Hickory NC; two granddaughters, Erika Harold of Frankfort OH, Leah Harold of Morgantown WV; three great grandchildren, Ace Isaac Eagle of Kentuck, Anderson Garrett Jarvis and Amelia Grace Jarvis of Hickory; three brothers, Bill, Charter and Gary Jarvis all of Chloe; four sisters, Rilma Chandler of Beaufort SC, Bonnie Ellison of Chloe, Madeline Hardway of Chelyan WV, Nell Deweese of Spencer WV; and personal care provider, Judy Allison. Also Lowell (Buddy) and wife Dora of Ripley WV and Oval Jarvis of Wooster OH, and other grandchildren.

Carl was a WWII Veteran and a member of Milo Church.

A Military funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19 at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg WV with Pastor Rick Metheney officiating. Burial will be in the Minnora Cemetery. Lunch will be served following the burial at the Upper West Fork Park at Chloe.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
