Velma McCally Prine, 92, of Reedy, died Mar. 3, 2011, at Eldercare, Ripley.
She was born at Rocksdale, the daughter of the late Everett and Pearl Smith Kerby.
She formerly worked at Staats Drug Store, Spencer, and cared for the elderly. She was a member of Reedy Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Edna Cottrell and Karen Ellison, both of Leroy; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Warren Kerby of Calhoun County; and two sisters, Tessie Clutts of Lakeland, Fla., and Faustine Barker of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Baxtor McCally, in 1968; three sisters, Evelyn Hersman, Delma Rogers and Mabel Treadway; one brother, Hurbert Kirby; one half-brother, Ray Mace; and two half-sisters, Opal McCoy Miller and Hazel Sheets.
Burial was in Spencer Memorial Cemetery.
