Arnold B. Carpenter, Sr., 90 - Parkersburg

Arnold B. Carpenter, Sr., 90, of Parkersburg, WV died Monday March 14, 2011 at Eagle Pointe. He was born in Orma, WV a son of the late Alpha and Susie (White) Carpenter.

He was a member of United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Local #242 and was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by ten children Deloris Holbert (Ralph) of Mineral Wells, Danny Carpenter (Tinnie) of Deerwalk, WV, Arnold Carpenter, Jr. (Donna) of Dallison, WV, Richard Carpenter (Theresa) of Lubeck, WV, Beckey Cheuvront (Don) of Washington, WV, Carlis Carpenter (Susan) of Parkersburg, Carlene Greathouse (Richard) of Washington, WV, Judy Williams (Marvin) of Parkersburg, Connie Carpenter of Deerwalk, WV, and Ronnie Carpenter of Cairo, WV.

Two brothers Wade Carpenter of Gassaway, WV and Alpha Carpenter of Michigan; thirty-one grandchildren; eighty-four great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edna P. Carpenter, son George Carpenter, two infant sons, two infant daughters, two sisters, and one brother.

Services will be Thursday 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with officiating. Burial will be at Carpenter Cemetery in Orma, WV Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 PM and Thursday one hour prior to the service.
