GRANTSVILLE MAN WILL COMPLETE SENTENCE ON HOME CONFINEMENT

A Grantsville man's probation has been revoked and he will complete his sentence on home confinement. Bobby Allen Nicholas, 35, was one of three individuals charged in 2007 with stealing about $3,000 worth of tools from Verizon trucks parked in Spencer. Nicholas pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 1-10 years at the time. The court then suspended his sentence in favor of five years probation. The court said Nicholas started failing to report to his probation officer in 2009. Additionally, Nicholas has been charged with other offenses while he was on probation, including a drug charge and another charge of driving on suspended license.
