NEW FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR REGION

(03/09/2011)
A Flood Watch for Calhoun and regional counties remains in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday evening.

Rain amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, mainly Wednesday and Wednesday night. Due to the wet terrain and elevated water levels, small stream flooding will be possible.

This rain event may also eventually lead to some river flooding. Even the Ohio River will need to be monitored.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
