Glen Siers and I planned on driving to Duck to the grocery store for some bacon. We made a wrong turn and just kept driving through Gassaway on up through Sutton to where the Bluegrass Jamboree is held weekly. We stopped by Blaine Postalwait's while we were up that way but unfortunately he was not at home. Driving back on Route 4 there was hardly any traffic, the river was calm and deep aqua, what a beautiful thing. The bacon is great and Glen enjoyed talking to the long time owner whom he had sold Ginseng to back in the 50's. I love going over on the river to that little store that's nice to walk around in.

Genie Bailey, Wanda Richards and I drove to Spencer early one Wednesday morning to make an appointment with a doctor. I need to have another cat scan. It's been a long time and haven't heard anything yet. No worry. We went to the Pizza Hut ordered a large pizza and all of us were just tickled to death to be out for lunch. It was fun.

I've been having small mice. Genie, Wanda and Glen Siers stopped by and Glen went and got some traps. Genie set them with peanut butter, no luck. The next day I moved one into a cabinet where I stored mixed bird feed which the mice had started on. Well I opened the door the next morning only to find the little metal plate where the bait goes on. no evidence of the rest of the trap.

Everyone have a wonderful week!
