Press Release - Grantsville Police Dept.

The Grantsville Police Department has donated a VTech V.Reader to Pleasant Hill Elementary School to promote the education of future community leaders.

Chief Jeff Starcher said the V.Reader was obtained through a false pretenses investigation involving Ebay. The victim in the incident, who resides in Grantsville, has been fully reimbursed for the item.

The store in which the item was purchased, Bed, Bath & Beyond, informed the Department they did not want the item returned to them, and requested it be donated to a charitable or educational organization.

"The Grantsville Police Department supports the education of our children and partners in the support of education in Calhoun County Schools," said Starcher.

The V-Reader is an interactive reading system with narrated and animated stories, reading skill games, and a story dictionary.
