Virginia Mae Smith, 80 - Munday

Virginia Mae Smith, 80 of Munday, West Virginia, passed away February 23, 2011 at her home.

She was born May 28, 1930.

She retired from BF Goodrich in 1992. She loved the Lord and served him with all her heart. She was a light and beacon to her whole family, and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George B. Smith; a daughter, Patrica J. (Kenny) Bloom of Munday; son, Richard L. Smith of Munday; 5 grandchildren, Kenny Bloom Jr. of Munday, Tamee (Dan) Ewing and Tommy (Lisa) Bloom all of Parkersburg WV, Leigha Cottrell of Mineral Wells WV, and Kenna Smith of Grantsville WV; 11 great grandchildren, Aimee, Haleigh and Katie Ritchie, Noah, Jake and Chris Bloom, Zay, Sarah, Jozey and Emma Cottrell, and Keilee Smith; and 1 great-great granddaughter, Chloe Bonnette.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Richard Lee Smith, Jr.; and her sister, Nadine Rose Conley.

There will be a visitation at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, February 25.

Private interment will be in the Smith Family Cemetery at Munday.
