CONFERENCE LEADING LADY PIONEERS MEET 10TH-RANKED WV STATE TONIGHT IN INSTITUTE

Glenville State's Lady Pioneers are two games away from a chance at being named conference season champions.

WV State will be looking to avenge an earlier season loss. Tip off is at 5:30 p.m.

The GSC women moved into the #1 WVIAC spot after defeating 3rd-ranked West Liberty 112-85 Saturday night. Just prior to closing out that victory Lady Pioneer fans learned Seton Hill upset the University of Charleston.

They're in a virtual three-way tie with University of Charleston, and West Liberty for the top spot. The outcome of the final games of the season will decide the winner.

The Lady Pioneers are 16-4, 18-7 heading into tonight's game; UC is 16-4, 20-6; while West Liberty is 17-4, 22-5.

The Lady Pioneers end the 2010-11 season Saturday afternoon at home against 11th-ranked Ohio Valley University. Tip-off is 2 p.m.

The early season meeting with OVU was a victory by a slim 4-point margin.

During Saturday's high-scoring victory, six players scored in double- figures. The Lady Pioneers lead the NCAA Division II in scoring, averaging 97.1 points a game. The team averages 16 steals and forces 27.1 turnovers a game.

Mishae Miles racked up another double-double performance with 16-points and 11 rebounds. Danielle Woodmore led scoring with 22.

For the season Tenisha Wilson is netting 17-points a game. Woodmore and Autumn Davis are averaging double-figure performances. In the assist department, Woodmore and Miranda Reed have totaled more than 120.
