The local area had a week of what might be termed March weather with birds singing and Easter flowers trying to come up [to be frozen].

Peanut reported that some rabbit hunters actually jumped eight (8) bunnies whilst out hunting the other day & harvested three. Rabbits have been rather rare for many years now.

Jeffrey Wayne McFee, age 48, of Cairo passed away peacefully in his sleep after an extended illness. The son of the late "Pete" & Norma McFee he was laid to rest on Owl Hill. His sister Mary is also said to not be well. His aunt, Gay Park noted that she wanted to thank all her daughters-in-law and the others who prepared the food and helped during and after the funeral.

Mary "Jenny" Belt is a patient in the Camden-Clark hospital and now seems to be on the mend. Rev. Keith Belt brought the message at the Burning Sprin gs M. E. church.

Eva Russell reported that she had a heart attack some time back and wasn't too well.

Steve & Mary Newton were visiting C. Romeo Griffin, Sr. & other area relatives & friends.

Riots, demonstrations, revolutions, killing and such seem to be the norm in the middle east as the radical Islam folks seem to be on the move. Closer to home the community organizer has a big demonstration going in Wisconsin to stop fiscal & labor law reform to stop runaway spending on government workers & the resultant unfunded pension, etc. liabilities that cannot be met. It is said that similar protests are scheduled all over the nation, apparently as part of the runup to the 2012 election.

Down at the mouth of the Elk, the big out of state (& international) boys want the legislature to give them forced pooling so that they can just take the oil & gas from those who do not want to be ripped off by scandalous contracts as are now being offered to folks to sign [without reading or understanding.] In prior times the Rockefeller family used W. Va. as a colony but this time around, if the legislators bow to the big boys and give them forced pooling, we will be serfs to the King of Norway, the Rothschild family, the communist Chinese along with assorted Hindoos, Ukranians and Russians.

To listen to the folks at the State Tax Department, there will be lots and lots of new coal mines opening all over the state very soon. Some doubt that they know at all what they are talking about. Terms such as "volatility" are said to increase values as likely does the International fudge factor and the variable constant.

The Creston area has a new business, Starr Heating & Cooling which is situate down on the old W. T. Petty farm.

The price of local Penn grade crude rose to $81/bbl.
