Jeanne Rae Titus, 73, of Spencer, WV, died Monday, May 6, 2002, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer.

She was born May 9, 1928, in Morgantown, WV the daughter of the late William Paul and Merle Faye Shahan Brown. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years and a member of the Anniversary Circle. She was a member and past president of the Roane General Hospital Auxiliary. She was a 1946 graduate of Morgantown High School.

Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Gerald M. Titus, Sr., four sons, Gerald M. Titus, Jr., and Michael F. Titus both of Spencer, Timothy Lee Titus of Huntington Woods, MI and Thomas W. Titus of Seattle, WA; one brother, Dr. William P. Brown of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters-in-law and eleven grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. The Reverend G. David Calvert will officiate. The committal service will be at 3 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
