Dottie Lou Boggs, 66 - Left Hand

Dottie Lou Boggs, 66, of Left Hand, West Virginia, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, in the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was born January 26, 1945, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Raymond A. and Flossie G. Blosser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Clarence Boggs in 1967; two sons, Kenneth and Ralph Boggs; two brothers, Carl "Red" and Dorsey D. Blosser; two sisters, Carolyn J. Hickman and Dorcas Blosser.

Dottie was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning and the outdoors. She attended the House of Prayer, Left Hand.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie and Art Boggs both of Left Hand; good friend, Kenneth Smith of Left Hand; brother and sister-in-law, Joe J. and Edna Wilson of Spencer; sister and brother-in-law, Gatha and James Greathouse of Spencer; two grandchildren, Virgil Starcher and Travis Conley; a sister-in-law, Pearl Summerfield of Looneyville; a brother-in-law, Billy Ray Boggs of Spencer.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial will be in the Epling Chapel Cemetery, Looneyville. Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
