Carl W. Miller, 88 - Davisville

Carl W. Miller, 88 of Davisville, West Virginia, passed away February 13, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital.

He was born in Calhoun County WV, the son of the late Guy and Martha Adams Miller.

He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He had retired from the O'Ames Company after 33 years of service and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8127.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pauline Virginia Digman Miller of Davisville; his children, Carleen Dodd and her husband Carl of Davisville and Lyle Gene Miller and his wife Kay of McConnelsville OH; grandchildren, Christine Ponce of Davisville, Christopher Dodd of Grove City OH, Curtis Dodd of Grove City, Robert Eugene Miller of Ashville OH, Angela Shriver of McConnelsville, Jennifer Rose of McConnelsville, Richard Patrick Miller, Crystal Caldwell and Brandy Wood all of Parkersburg WV; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Beulah Crawford of Chloe WV and Delma Hall of Canton OH.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronzel Richard Miller and Michael Vernon Miller; two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 17 at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Reverend Jeffrey Williamson officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens with full military graveside rites by Parkersburg American Legion Post 15.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
