Oleda Leach, 95 - Parkersburg

Oleda Leach, 95, of Parkersburg, passed away Feb. 7, 2011, at Worthington Manor in Parkersburg. She was born in Calhoun County on Dec. 13, 1915. She was a homemaker, loved to cook and attended Parkview United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Ruby Offutt of Parkersburg; two sons, Donald Leach of Elyria, Ohio, and Richard D. Leach (Joan) of Huntington, W.Va.; and one sister, Catherine Hathaway of Parkersburg. Mrs. Leach is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jane K. Ambrose, Connie S. Russell, Timothy E. Offutt, Benita Holzheimer, Bruce Leach, Mark Leach and Clifton Leach; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Orville Leach; her loving foster parents, T.S. and Sarah Cunningham; one daughter-in-law, Lillian Leach; one son-in-law, Ollie Offutt Jr.; and two sisters, Madyline Slider and Gladys Starcher. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with the Rev. Joe Law officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Parkersburg.
