Saturday afternoon the gas went off. I was able to get a small heater and an electric blanket. Early Sunday morning Bub Metheney and his crew, Doy and Bert came down to help me out. The line was froze in the creek under the bridge at the mouth of Walker Creek and also another place in the bottom.

They poured methanol in the line to break up the ice and it works great. My first experience with that. The regulator was froze up. Bub put it in the truck and thawed it out. Doy then put it back on the right way. Vertical instead of horizontal so moisture can drain out. Thank you boys for your work first thing on a cold Sunday morning. I was under the bridge with them. it was an interesting thing to be helping. I kept my coveralls on until the house got warmed up.

Blaine King stopped by for a visit Monday afternoon. He was able to slide off the hill on Crooked Run but can't slide on he says.

Bear the dog doesn't mind this cold weather at all. It's amazing how he lays down in the snow like he does.

I went to the doctor in Charleston January 20 for a check up and will be going back on the 27th for another cat scan because I have frequent headaches. The doctor wants to make sure that everything is alright. Since the check up my head is better.

Everyone have a wonderful week.
