A pick-up truck with an 18-year-old driver was a victim of black ice about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on Rt. 16 south of Grantsville on Philip's Run.

The driver was reportedly taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System for evaluation.

Several stretches of Rt. 16 were covered with black ice with the temperature hovering at the freezing point.

The Calhoun DOH reportedly ran out of salt last week, and is working on obtaining a new supply.
