Clarence Jr. Gillespie, 75 - Horner

Clarence Jr. Gillespie age 75 of Horner, Lewis County, West Virginia, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, January 12, 2011 at Holbrook Nursing Home following a short illness.

He was born December 8, 1935 in Gilmer County a son of the late Clarence and Bessie Riley Gillespie.

Clarence was a former employee of Harbison-Walker Brick Co. as a press operator. He loved fishing, hunting, taking photos and his passion was eating peanut butter. He was a Methodist by faith.

Surviving are three daughters, Diana Gillespie of Newton Falls OH, Rosie Jenkins of Garrettsville OH, and Jennifer Gillespie of Wooster, OH; one brother and two sisters survive, Bobby Gillespie of Jacobsburg OH, Hilda Langford of Weston WV, and Dorothy Hess of Martinsburg WV; five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gillespie was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Nicholson.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15 at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., Glenville WV with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery, Glenville.

Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the Mortuary.MO< Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., Glenville is assisting the family of Clarence Jr. Gillespie with arrangements.
