| Richard Otmer O'Dell, 56, of Looneyville, West Virginia, died Monday January 10, 2011 at his home.
He was born December 26, 1954 at Amma, a son of Faye Goodwin O'Dell of Walton and the late Patrick O'Dell. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta O'Dell.
Richard was a retired employee of the WVDOH. He was a Baptist. Also, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on engines.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Janice O'Dell; two children, Eric O'Dell and Angela O'Dell both of Bancroft; two stepchildren, Anita McKown and Christine Wiles both of Pennsylvania; sisters, Barbara Caldwell of Clover, Elizabeth Smith and Joann Greathouse both of Looneyville; brothers, Larry and Gary O'Dell of Clover, Gregory, William, Mike, Roger and Randy O'Dell all of Walton; three grandchildren and one step grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Anthony P. Ferrebee officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
