Betty Jo Duelley Maxwell, 74 - Glenville

Betty Jo Duelley Maxwell age 74, of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday January 5, 2011 following an extended illness.

She was born December 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Edgar and Pearl Harris Duelley.

Mrs. Maxwell was a homemaker, and Baptist by faith. A homemaker's job is sewing, cooking, gardening and caring for her family and home. These were Betty Jo's hobbies and favorite things to do.

She was united in marriage to Albert Wilbur Maxwell on March 11, 1956 who survives at their Rt. 5 West home.

Also surviving are 1 son, Danny Maxwell and wife Teresa; 2 grandsons, Jeffery Maxwell and wife Shawna, and Erik Maxwell; 1 great granddaughter, Alexis Maxwell all of Glenville; 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Gay Wilson of Glenville, Cray Duelley of Mt. Zion WV, Maggie Harold of Stinson WV, Kathleen Merriman of Cranberry Township PA, Edgar "Bub" Duelley Jr. of Tanner WV, Virginia Sprouse of Grafton OH, and Loren Duelley of Wellington OH.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by 1 great grandson, Tyler Maxwell; 1 sister, May Yeager; and 3 brothers, Fay, Ray "Buck" and Dorsey Scott Duelley.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. Glenville at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8 with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Job's Temple Cemetery (Rt. 5 west) Glenville. Friends may call from 4-8 Friday January 7, at the mortuary.

Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Betty Jo Maxwell with arrangements.
