HERALD'S FREE OBITUARY POLICY REMAINS SAME

The Herald publishes FREE obituaries and photos, generally submitted by funeral homes, although we do accept obituaries from family members. We publish FREE obituaries and photos from local and regional county funeral homes provided they submit ALL their obituaries, not desiring to discriminate or be selective. Regional daily newspapers generally charge about $200 to publish a full obituary, extra for photos. We generally publish the obituary as written, sometimes with a few edits. Obituaries and photos can be submitted to the Herald by e-mail. bob@hurherald.com
