| Robert R. Peggs age 78 of Cox's Mills, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord at 6:35 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at Meadow View Manor Health Care, Bridgeport following a short illness. He was born December 3, 1932 in Gilmer County a son of the late Taft and Octova Curtis Peggs. Robert retired from Appalachian Piping, Glenville. He loved squirrel and deer hunting and worshiped his Lord in his own quiet and personal way. On March 26, 1960 he was married to Jo Ann Townsend Peggs who survives at their Cox's Mill home. Also surviving are four children, Angela Nicholas and husband Eric of Cox's Mill, Robert Peggs of Cox's Mill, Randy Peggs of Wheeling and Michael Peggs and wife Melissa of Sand Fork; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Peggs of Sand Fork and Francis Peggs of New Jersey. Additionally he is survived by one whom he considered a son and a great caregiver, Keith Cole of Cox's Mill. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers, Doris Queen, Lucille Moore, Burl, Orville Lee and Roy Peggs. Memorial services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. in Glenville at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2011 with Pastor Lloyd Stewart officiating. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., Glenville is assisting the family of Robert Peggs with arrangements.
