FORMER COACH MURDERED - A Huntington man has been arrested in the stabbing death of former Wayne County High School football coach Scott Jarrell.

State Police say 52-year-old Clinton D. Skeens was charged with first-degree murder. The incident happened Friday at Jarrell's Wayne County residence.

Jarrell was the head football coach at Wayne High School from 1966 to 1983. He had an overall record of 102-73-3. He also coached basketball, track and cross country before leaving in 1984.

TWO STABBED DURING DURING NEW YEAR'S DOMESTIC - Two people were injured in Nutter Fort, near Clarksburg New Year's Eve.

Police responded to a domestic dispute, saying a man stabbed a woman in her hand, and then fled on foot.

Both the man and the woman were transported to UHC with hand injuries.

Police said alcohol was involved in the incident, both the man and the woman were reportedly on parole.

WOMAN ROBBED AT GUNPOINT - A woman was robbed at gunpoint while she was trying to make a withdrawal at a Shinston bank.

The woman was parked in the Wesbanco drive-thru Thursday when just before 9:00 p.m. a man allegedly walked up to her with what looked to be a stainless steel revolver, and took her money.

He then fled the scene on foot.

CHARLESTON MAN SHOT, ANOTHER STABBED - A Charleston man is recovering after he was shot near a Charleston bar early Saturday morning.

Police say a man was shot in the torso near the corner of Leon Sullivan and Lee Street by Lucky Laverty's around 1:30 a.m.

He was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Charleston Police are also investigating a stabbing, saying a man was stabbed in the torso near Randolph Street and Maryland Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
