WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Man Shoots Neighbor During Home Invasion

INTRUDER KILLED - A Putnam County man was shot and killed by his neighbor after he reportedly broke into the man's Scott Depot home, according to police.

State Police said it happened Tuesday afternoon, with the homeowner calling 911.

Police found Stephen King on the floor of Jeff Walker's kitchen. He had a single gunshot wound to the chest and was bleeding heavily.

Walker told State Police he had been asleep and that he'd found King in his home when he awoke. King lived nearby and the men knew each other, police said.

King was transported to a nearby hospital, but died shortly after the incident.

State Police are investigating the incident.

ELKINS HEIST - Three people in Randolph County are in jail facing kidnapping and robbery charges. They are Jeremy Harris, 31, Mary Herron, 26, and Emory Isenhart, 40, all from Elkins.

The victim was buying lottery tickets at the Elkins Go-Mart when Harris told him that he needed to speak to him, according to the complaint.

The victim says that Harris then grabbed him and forced him into a back seat of a car driven by Herron.

The complaint says all three then drove to a residence where the victim was beaten and robbed of his prescription medication and $162.

Harris is charged with kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and robbery in the 1st degree.

Herron is charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping and aiding and abetting.

Both are being held without bond and could face life in prison.

Isenhart is charged with robbery in the 1st degree and conspiracy to commit kidnapping. He is being held on $100,000 cash bond and could face up to 10 years in prison.

HARRISON ARMED ROBBERY - The High Life Lounge along Route 20 in Quiet Dell was robbed Monday. Investigators say two men came in the business, one armed with a hand gun. They stole some cash and fled.

The High Life Lounge is less than a mile off of I-79.
